Electric outdoor heaters are growing in popularity.
Infarared heaters heat like the sun warming the objects and people rather than the air. Check with the
manufacturer to make sure the heater can be used outdoors. Infra-red heaters can be mounted to a wall
or under the overhang. Several companies are making free standing infrared heaters for outdoors.
Quartz lamp electric heaters are widely being used because it can reach higher temperatures.
Replacement lamp bulbs are expensive to replace.
If you are using a free standing electric heater make sure it has an automatic shut off switch in case it
tips over. Also make sure the cords are not in walkways.
