Electric Logs
|
The crackling sound and the warm glo of a roaring fire. Electric logs have exited us for years with the realism of a wood buring fire. Made from real oak or birch logs with the bark still in tack are arranged to resemble a wood fire. Red plastic highlighted with black and white paint resembles a coal bed and flames. The log set is illuminated with one or two light bulbs from behind.
The crackling sound is created with a small motor turning a wire with silver bristles that looks like a branch from an old silver Christmas tree. This branch gently brushes against a hard sheet of plastic creating a crackling sound. As the branch turns it reflects light on the back wall making it appear to flicker.
